No film tops box office and ROI and reviews and audience โ chase a slate that balances all four, or the boss notices. Perfect Studio: โ
Greenlight is a free movie-studio game. You play a Hollywood mogul for a year: the reels spin a real studio and a five-year era, and you draft one of that studio's actual films to fill an open genre slot โ horror, sci-fi, action, comedy, and drama. Fill all five and the studio head judges your slate on four real-world axes at once: box office, budget efficiency, audience reception, and critical acclaim. The catch is that no single film wins on every axis, so the fun is in the trade-offs โ chase the crowd-pleaser or the critics' darling, splurge on a blockbuster or hunt the underpriced classic. Modes range from the classic Studio draft to a budget-capped Indie challenge, a blind Pitch mode, two upside-down "worst slate wins" modes, and a shared Daily Greenlight with a global leaderboard. Every card is a real film with real numbers, graded on era-fair percentiles so a 1970s sleeper and a modern tentpole compete on honest footing. It's quick to learn, hard to master, and a little different every day.
