Greenlight is a free movie-studio game about the one job every studio chief is really hired to do: pick the right films. Spin a studio and an era, draft real movies to fill five genre slots, and find out whether your slate is good enough for the corner office.
We built Greenlight as the Hollywood entry in the Perfect Season arcade โ a small family of "build the perfect lineup" games. Instead of a roster of athletes, you assemble a slate of films, balancing box office, budget, audience love, and critical acclaim across a horror pick, a sci-fi pick, an action pick, a comedy, and a drama. No single movie wins on every axis, so the fun is in the trade-offs: chase the crowd-pleaser or the critics' favorite, splurge on a blockbuster or hunt the underpriced classic.
Greenlight has four siblings, each running the same "perfect lineup" engine over a different obsession:
We're an independent developer building daily-puzzle games for fans โ the kind of quick, replayable challenge you fit into a coffee break and then argue about with friends. Greenlight is made by people who love both movies and the strange math of how Hollywood actually keeps score. We add films, sharpen the modes, and ship improvements steadily, and we read the notes that land in our inbox.
Every card is a real film with real numbers, graded on era-fair percentiles so a 1970s sleeper and a modern tentpole compete on honest footing. That turns each pick into a genuine decision โ and the Daily Greenlight gives everyone the same puzzle each day, with a leaderboard and a streak to keep. It rewards taste, not luck.
Greenlight is free and deliberately ad-light. If you'd like to help keep the lights on and fund continued development across the whole arcade, a small show of support goes a long way โ and it's the best way to get more films, more modes, and more games. The button below is a placeholder for a future tip jar; for now it simply opens an email.
